And We're Off!

Hey Everyone!

I've been thinking about starting a blog lately and I finally decided to so... here I am!  My main goal of this is to do a weekly blog that is about being a raising my husband and child, being a stay at home mom (SAHM), a little bit of cooking, and trying to balance everything else.  Hopefully I will entertain you enough to where you come back!  Like I said before that is my goal but we shall see if it actually works!

A little bit about me,  I have a beautiful daughter who is 1, an amazing husband, and 2 dogs.  I am a SAHM and I love it!  However, I am not going to lie to you, sometimes these 4 walls seem like they are closing in on me.  Then, I see my daughter and how much she has learned in the past year, how much she has accomplished, and how happy she is when I see her everyday. I then look back and think, "Wow! She is amazing and I am so glad I am able to be here for this. I am very lucky." I grew up in a big family which I could not imagine any other way and I am very close to them.  Seriously, my sisters are my best friends.  My mom is also my best friend but that did not happen until after the arrival of my daughter.  I still remember me sitting in the car on the way to school telling my mom, "Well so and so is best friends with her mom and she is SOOO cool!  Why can't you be like that?  Why can't you be my friend?"  To which she always replied, "Jennifer, I am not your friend, I am your mother.  If you don't like me, that means I am doing my job, deal with it.  You will never understand until you have a child of your own."  She was totally right.  I really disliked her when I was a teen.   In no way what so ever was I an easy teenager, I was horrible!!!  Yet, over the years I have realized she was doing all of that for my own good.  Now I look back and respect her so much for it and hope that one day I will be as great of a mom as she was.

We are currently trying for #2 and we have been trying since March 2011.  This time it has really been a learning process for me.  I am learning how to be observent (With temps and ovulation predictor kits or OPKs), how to be patience (The wonderful two week wait or 2ww before you get your period), and somewhat of a scientist (Are you sure there isn't a line?! Hmmm... let me check in actual light... no.  Quick!  To the light bulb! Oh, no again... poop.  Oh well at least I get my wine!)  I am in no way a patient person when I want something so, I guess I should look at it as the glass half full rather than empty.  However, I do have a very good feeling about this month.  I really don't know why I do, but I do.  Let's hope I am right and I get that BFP we've been hoping for!  (Fingers crossed)  I'll keep you updated

.... until next week.
